Position Summary

The Operations Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of the John Locke Institute. This includes managing logistics for our global programmes, coordinating administrative processes, and ensuring the effective execution of key projects. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Executive Support

    Partner closely with, and offer ongoing support to, the Managing Director of Operations.

  • Administration

    Manage scheduling, documentation, and operational workflows to ensure efficiency.

  • Vendor & Partner Liaison

    Engage with service providers, vendors, and educational partners to ensure seamless logistics.

  • Process Improvement

    Identify and implement strategies to optimize efficiency in operations.

  • Communication

    Communicating directives from the Managing Director, Operations to relevant people

  • Troubleshooting

    Troubleshooting issues and making adjustments during events.

  • Programme Logistics

    Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy to enhance brand visibility and engagement across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.).

  • Cross-Department Coordination

    Facilitate communication between different teams to support programme execution.

  • Student & Faculty Support

    Provide operational assistance to students, faculty, and guest speakers during programmes.

  • Data Management

    Maintain and update databases related to student enrolment, logistics, and administrative records.

  • Event Support

    Ensuring VIPs, speakers, and students are well taken care of when an event is on.

  • Internship Management

    Recruiting and training interns.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience in operations, logistics, or administrative coordination preferred.

  • Strong organisational and project management skills with attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Experience using CRM systems, spreadsheets, and project management tools is a plus.

  • Background in education, event management, or international programmes is an advantage.
