FOLLOW THESE STEPS

STEP 1

JOIN THE FACEBOOK GROUP & INTRODUCE YOURSELF

We set up a private Facebook* group for all the students attending the summer school, which will allow you to access the reading list, to coordinate travel arrangements and begin to get to know one another ahead of your trip to Oxford. This step is a MUST so please do it now!

Once you're in, tell the JLI family your name, where you are from, what you are passionate about and your #1 reason for joining the summer school!

*For students who live in countries where Facebook is prohibited, please click here. Your details will be shared with other families so you can coordinate travel arrangements.

STEP 2

COMPLETE YOUR STUDENT INFORMATION FORM

Please use the Google Form to tell us what allergies, intolerances and food preferences you have.

Please also fill in the relevant sections of the Form if you have any medical issues (sleep-walking, travel-sickness, phobias, allergies, sensitivities, medication requirements, etc.) of which the staff should
be made aware.

The form should be returned completed by June 15th. Please only fill in the form once to avoid duplicates in our files.

STEP 3

CHECK COVID TRAVEL RULES

What you need to do depends on where you will be in the ten days prior to your arrival in the United Kingdom. Countries with low infection rates and/or high rates of vaccination are designated as green, whereas high risk countries are classified as red. The country lists will be updated regularly, so keep a lookout for status changes.

Please find out if you are allowed to travel to the UK and, if so, whether you need a test before departure, after arrival, or both. You may need to consult government information services in both your home country and the UK.

In some cases you may be required to quarantine for a period of time after you arrive in the UK, before you are allowed to come to the summer school. If so, we strongly encourage you to coordinate - via the Facebook group - with other students in the same position. You may like to quarantine together and finish the pre-reading and other preparations with some new friends.
