The course fees for the John Locke Institute Summer School reflect the excellent tutor-to-student ratio, the tight limit on places and the high quality of tuition. In some cases this unique opportunity is financially out of reach. For this reason we have made provision for some modest financial support for a small number of applicants.
If you wish to be considered for a bursary, the following guidance might be helpful:
1. Successful grant applicants will normally be in the top third of candidates in terms of the quality of their application. To make funding available to intelligent, motivated students who are passionate about learning, we will ask you to complete a short written application. In most cases bursary applicants will be given a separate interview, during which we will ask you questions about a short passage of text, which we will email to you ahead of the interview.
2. If students make application to educational trusts or other charitable foundations, we will normally try to match the funding they receive elsewhere, subject to the other criteria, above.
If you would like to be considered for financial aid for one of our courses, please email the Dean of Admissions: firstname.lastname@example.org
