published 11 June 2018
The John Locke Institute is proud to announce that Professor Peter Millican will be joining us for the first time at our summer school in France 2018.
Professor Millican is a professor of philosophy at Hertford College at Oxford University. In particular, he specialises in the philosophy of morals, religion and language. In-line with this, professor Millican has focussed on the works of David Hume, editing the journal of Hume Studies for five years.
Professor Millican has a keen interest in computer science and logic. He is a chess grandmaster and helped launch an Oxford degree programme in Computer Science and Philosophy.
Students may have heard of professor Millican’s work being used to analyse text styles in cases of disputed authorship.
