Essay Shortlist Revealed
2019 Essay Competition - Shortlist
The John Locke Institute is delighted to announce the shortlisted candidates for the 2019 Essay Prize. We received almost one thousand entries, from sixty-eight different countries. Most of the submissions were of a very high quality, and it took our panel of nine examiners, from Oxford, Cambridge, Princeton, Harvard, Chicago and NYU Law School, four weeks to assess all the entries.
Those essayists who, in the judgement of the examiners, were of sufficient merit to be considered for a subject-category prize, will be invited in the next few days to come to Oxford on Friday, 20 September, where prizes will be announced at a Gala Dinner in the grand fourteenth-century Great Hall of New College, Oxford.
Our congratulations to all those whose hard work has created something of which they can be justly proud.
